FIRST BRONZE AWARDS FROM THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH AWARD PROGRAMME

For a first time in Burgas and at our high school, the Bulgarian Executive Director of the Duke of Edinburgh award Lyubomira Velcheva handed in bronze awards to students from VSCPI. Not only the personal goal achievement is a challenge, but the times that we live in. Each generation must find and aim at its own high moral and personal value objectives.

Today those students who have succeeded to achieve their goals, received their first award. The programme is active in Bulgaria since 2014. The international award is a leading junior programme about personal achievements in the field of informal education. The initiative challenges young people to develop self-discipline in the process of defining and achieving goals, creating leader qualities and team work skills, as well as sophisticating their physical activity. They choose activities in the sections Expedition, Physical Skills, Volunteering and experience adventure.

To achieve the highest level in the programme-gold, they need to participate in a project, which benefits community, located away from their home place. We hope that will happen next year.
